IT GLISTENS

The sun glistening
On the water’s blue surface
The glare quite blinding

I just had to stare
At the vision before me
No matter how bright

It’s mesmerizing
And creates such peace in me
I shimmer within

Have a beautiful start to your week, Margie

  1. The first thing that came to mind when I saw the photos was, “Oh my gosh it’s so beautiful how the water is glistening!” And then I read the poem. You’ve worded the photos perfectly.

  2. I am so glad you are showing your wonderful pictures again in addition to your thoughtful haiku. One can see – this is your true passion! Love seeing more.

  3. I love your photos and poems.
I am curious though, was it chilly where you were or is it still summertime temps at the ocean?
    🙂
I felt inspired by your post & decided to write a haiku. I hope you don’t mind.
    Magic arcs and sparks
    A treasure within the deep
    Close your eyes and dream.
    🙂

    • It’s easy to see why there so much literature and legends written about the ocean. It’s also easy to see why so many fellows in days of yore felt the call of sea and joined ships to travel far far away for years at a time.
I could go on, but I’ll stop for now. I apologize for the double post.
Thanks for inspiring me this morning. 🙂

      • Oh E.C., I am overjoyed you were moved to comment twice and leave such a lovely haiku to boot! Thank you! And yes, it was glorious weather in Naples, sunny, 73ish with cool mornings and evenings…my idea of perfect!

** I just had to respond here to this E.C., as opposed to sending a personal note, which is what I usually do when asked a question in a comment. This was priceless. xo to you and all that visit and/or leave a comment! I truly love knowing you’ve been by.

      • Naples sounds like a honey of a place to visit. I long for consistent days of 70’s. Beaches are one of the best places to to romp and stomp and feel like a kid again (without raising to many eyebrows. 😉 ) I love the beach. 🙂

Aw Margie you’re so sweet. Thank you for the glowing compliments. I’m glad you liked my haiku. It was fun to share with you. It’s always a pleasure to visit your wonderful blog. I truly enjoy your visits to my blog because You always make me smile. 🙂

Thank you for letting me know you've been here!
