No clue what to paint
And art class is tomorrow
It will come to me
Sooner than later
Do you hear me art angels?
Only hours to go!
Chipmunks scampering
Heading to their hidey holes
Blurs before my eyes
Summer’s taking hold
The greens of spring darkening
The trees filling in
Spending time outside
Moves up to spot number one
On the hit parade
Since summer flies by
Let’s enjoy its company
And the light of day
Ah, summer evenings
Soft air and cicada tunes
Lulling me to sleep

Mother’s Day is here
Cheers to you, Moms of all kinds
No matter, Moms rock!
It’s a job for life
One I would not trade for gold
But maybe for booze!
All kidding aside
I have been blessed with two gems
One of each no less
To them I say “Thanks”
For making it so easy
Not always the case
Enjoy your day Moms
We all deserve at least one
Truly, thousands more
We’ll take what we get
And thank our lucky stars too
For the gift of life
We will all be together next weekend in DC as #1 Son, Paul, graduates from Georgetown with his MBA. Yippee! Then on to NY he goes. Β He and his sister will be in the same hood in Brooklyn. Awesome! Couldn’t ask for more. We are blessed.
