Even if you don’t like to fish, watching salmon energetically trying to make their way up stream to spawn and seeing those trying to hook them, is quite an experience. These anglers were at the Bear River in Petoskey, Michigan. Think about all the poles and lines in such close quarters. How come they don’t get tangled? As soon as someone gets a hit, they yell, “fish on” and the others immediately move their poles, someone grabs a net to assist and next thing you know, the fish is flopping around on the ground, on its way to a cooler. The fishermen cook or smoke their catches. Otherwise, they throw them back. It really is fun to see. And, the Bear River where all this is going on, is very picturesque.
