ART AND ADAMS MORGAN

“The House Where Lincoln Died”

I couldn’t resist the delightful watercolor style of Mary Belcher when I stumbled on these note cards in a small used bookstore in the Adams Morgan area of Washington DC.

The Adams Morgan area is a diverse, hip neighborhood in northwest DC sporting shopping, bars, and restaurants. During our trip last month, we noodled around. I got a big kick out of this bar and it’s name, not to mention the sign above the door. We were there during the day, but I understand at night, it’s hopping.

I’m a red head, albeit by a bottle, and not a big beer drinker, but I’ll bet there are many ladies who happily show up to stake their claim!

Your DC tour director for the day, Margie
