SHARING BEAUTY…

in the form of Carolyne Roehm’s new coffee table book.

To say it is gorgeous is an understatement.

P1000365

I am overwhelmed by its beauty, and just had to return to my perch to share my excitement!  It is heavy and substantial and fantabulous! It’s not too late to put it on your wish list! This was my gift to me! And what a gift it is!

Merry, merry to all!

A BEE & A BOOK

“Handle a book as a bee does a flower, extract its sweetness but do not damage it.”
― John Muir

Speaking of books…

“The Little Bookstore of Big Stone Gap is the story of a little bookstore that could: how two people, two cats, two dogs, and thirty-eight thousand books helped a small town open its heart. It is a tale of people and books, and how together they create community.”

Sound delightful? You betcha. I’m just a couple of chapters in, and had to tell you about it. I ordered it from my friend, Jeanne, owner of my favorite little bookstore in Harbor Springs, Michigan, Between the Covers. She puts out the best monthly newsletter ever! Visit her website and sign up for it. You will look forward to seeing it show up in your inbox, promise!

Had a great time in New York. Love that city! Not much time to take photos, but may have a couple to share later in the week.

“Buzy” reading hugs, Margie

I FANCY FLOWERS

“Flowers do speak a language, clear and intelligible. Observe them, love them, linger over them…                                              Vanessa Diffenbaugh

What’s not to love about playing with flowers and being surrounded by beauty? Speaking of flowers, I just finished reading this page turner of a story. It makes it into my top ten of all time. The characters will stay with you long after the last page is turned.

A MUST HAVE!!!

I don’t even know where to start except to say if you love home decor of any kind, even just a wee bit, helpful quotes from people in the know, to-die-for photos, useful tips about anything and everything you can think of pertaining to your home from soup to nuts (a 1,000 of them in fact!) you must get “DECORATE“. This gem is authored by Holly Becker, founder of Decor8 and Joanna Copestick, writer, author and editor specializing in interior design and decor. I kid you not when I tell you this must have is sumptuous and has the heft of a coffee table book. You will want it right next to your favorite chair as you will pick it up over and over again. I guaran-damn-tee it! I’ve scanned a few pages, but it does not do it justice. Just pop over to Amazon here and order it straightaway!

Stylish hugs on a Friday, Margie

Doesn’t that pillow, bottom right have MY NAME ON IT!!! Ahhh!

Every single page is filled with beauty and ideas!

I am going to use this visually stunning book as more than a decorating bible. It is going to be an art source for ideas to draw, paint and create around.
