“She turned to the sunlight
And shook her yellow head,
And whispered to her neighbor:
“Winter is dead.”

― A.A. Milne

I’ve had more fun watching the bulbs I’ve bought at Trader Joes bloom and grow. A most reasonable way to bring spring inside, and to wallow in their beauty.

I am happy as a clam when I am being creative. Writing for this blog, expressing myself through haiku poetry, exploring nature and life through zen eyes, and dabbling in various art mediums, makes my spirit sing.

  5. Ah yes, I love watching the progress of flowers blooming. Your photos are gorgeous.
Once upon a time, we had a big patch of flowers called 8 o’clocks that bloomed in the evening. Ours was more like 8:15 o’clocks and never did bloom at 8, however, every day, you’d find one or both us sitting next to them watching the plants and bloom pods wiggle and move as they burst open in blooms. It’s enchanting and magical as they all open…. It was good fun until the Japanese Beetles took a liking to them and ate them to death… The next year it was the same attack so we stopped growing the 8 o’ clocks. but we still miss them and speak of them every year.

  6. They are just “happy”! Dang I wish we had a Trader Joe’s close!! Good Mornin’!
