but it found ME on Sunday. I had to go outside and enjoy the beauty.
Our walk in the woods was cut short as Quincy’s paws got filled with ice balls the size of pom poms. Poor guy.
After we got home, I went to the lake access and continued my quest until I got concerned my camera might get too wet.
Enough of that, time for spring! Margie
Lovely We finally got our first bit of snow today.
We got a few inches last night.
Your shots are amazing Margie! Favorites~the row of mail boxes, the BOAT. Shoot, they are all a winter feast for the eyes. Glad you went looking for winter!
Winter does have its good points, especially after new fallen snow. Thanks Pix!!
poor Quincy… I don’t miss the snow and like the current abnormality. 🙂
My husband and I were just talking about that today. We could handle winters like this no problem!
Because we don’t get snow in South Africa I love photos of snow because everything looks magical, I know it is messy, cold and inconvenient 😉
You know GB, I think most people have a love/hate relationship with snow. Nothing prettier when it is falling in big fluffy flakes, but when it affects driving and you have to shovel it….
I love snow and am lucky I don’t have to be in rush hour when it’s slippery and traffic is horrible. I am happy you could see snow through my eyes. Thanks for coming back and hanging out for a bit!
Lovely winter photos! You captured it very nicely too.
although I don’t like snow yet the weather here is freezing cold as well!
Keep warm,
Gracie xx
Stay toasty then Gracie. Thanks!
Beautiful! I love winter!
I know you do! Just give you a pair of skates and you’re good to go!
beautiful winter images. same thing happens to my little nick with the snow pompoms
Thank you Dianne! And for stopping by and leaving such lovely comments. Welcome! What kind of dog is Nick?
Margie, just wanted you to know that these photos are stunning and beautifully composed! You have a wonderful eye for design and composition!
Whoa! Can’t tell you how much that means coming from you Chuck! Thanks for popping in on my blog and leaving a comment. Sure glad you decided to start a blog with your amazing urban captures. Very unique. Watch out though, blogging is addicting my friend, but in an amazing way!
i’m happy for you! enjoy the snow. it’s winter. or, just send it to cincinnati! please! happy tuesday, margie!
It’s already gone! True snow storm on Sunday, gone by Tuesday! Very strange. 50 degrees today.
I guess winter really hit. I love the bird houses!
It really did and it’s gone already! Believe it or not, those are mailboxes.
I have never seen real snow or experience a winter. Just looking at these photos makes me shiver from cold but I really wish to see snow. 🙂
I am trying to picture snow in the Maldives….nope, doesn’t work! I don’t blame you for wanting to see it sometime. It truly is beautiful.
Very pretty! Winter came for a few days and now it seems to have left. What a crazy season. We really need the snow.
You can say that again!
What a beautiful snowfall! Your photos are beautiful. I especially like the mailboxes and boat. It must be hard to walk with big snowballs between your toes!
Thanks Pat. Yes, he would lay down every two seconds and try to bite them off. That was the end of the walk for him. He managed to have fun running around before they formed.
Oh-ma-garsh! It looks like winter came looking and found you. Oh the beauty and the cold. I hope Quincy’s okay. Those snowballs hanging onto his fur is chilling. Bless his heart.
Your wonderful photos makes me feel like I just walked through the middle of a snowball. 🙂
When it snows like that I feel like I am inside a snow globe. Gorgeous!!! I didn’t want to come in. Thanks E.C.!
Lovely! Just lovely! I love the mailboxes (I’m assuming those are a row of peaked mailboxes) and the delicate flowers with snow resting on them.
And poor Quincy and his tender toes. Every time I sweep up fur I threaten to shave Coe. Quincy may be next 😉
Thanks Lula. Yup, they are mailboxes! Haha, Q loves the snow. Just a slight hitch in the giddy up!
Oh these photos are just lovely. I love to see the winter wonderland once in awhile…..like when we travel away for a week or so, then back to warm Bermuda.
Nice to read all the comments from all over….Switzerland, the UK, etc.
Where are you? which country?
Thanks my friend! “Once in awhile” sums it up, especially this year. I hail from Michigan in the USA in which “winter wonderland” is used to describe this beautiful state in all the travelogs. I was born and raised here. I love it!
about dang time you got some winter up there!!! if you don’t, how can the rest of us?!
I know T, but it’s going to be gone in a flash with the temps today!
I love when snow first day it falls. It is so fluffy and white.
Poor Quincey … he was probably a little cold. Fortunately,
for him he could go inside get warm.
Lovely images of snow.
Quincy loves the snow! He is built really solid (we call him the Big Lebowski!)and has a really thick coat. I had a rain slicker on him just so his fur wouldn’t get too wet. But the snow was heavy, not light and fluffy, so it balled up in his paws. He stops every two seconds to bite them off when that happens. Once inside, it still took a while to melt. But it was gorgeous and he had a chance to tear around in the white stuff for a bit before the pom poms showed up.
Brrrrrrr……this looks cold! I’m with you–enough of this stuff, time for SPRING!
Hugs
Cecelia
It was, but so beautiful I didn’t mind.
Wow, special kudos for the mailboxes 😉 Today we have a similar white day here in Switzerland…
Thanks Pierre!! Someday I would like to visit Switzerland. Such a gorgeous place.
I love looking at snow and I love looking at your photos snow, but I have to admit I don’t like being out in it. What are the little wooden boxes with doors? We don’t have anything like that in UK.
They are a row of mailboxes. Very atypical though. Thought it made for an interesting shot in the snow.
Aha ‘the snow’ . The lovely pics reminds me of a year in the snow bound area. Thanks.
Not something you see often, that’s for sure!
Oh my goodness these photos are wonderful. My favourites are photos 6 and 9.
Charmaine!!! Glad you enjoyed them.
Thanks for a walk in the woods. If I could knit rubber, I’d make your dog some booties. Are those houses really mailboxes with room for a newspaper beneath?
My pleasure Barb and yes, they are!
I don’t like snow at all but I must say you’ve captured it beautifully, I especially like the boats and petals. Poor doggie though, he needs some snow shoes!
Thanks Gilly. It isn’t going to be here for long. 50 degrees today!
the snow!
In Pisa the snow is very rare to arrive ….
last year was a great year … but I had my Sony digital (Carmen) …
great photos …
vento
Thanks!
Beautiful! I LOVE the snow, wish we would get some here. It’s supposed to be in the sixties in a few days – not that i mind that either. 🙂
And I agree with the first poster – poor ducks!
Thanks my friend. It is suppose to be 50 degrees today and the sun is shining. Glad I got the captures when I did!
hard time for ducks!
Yup! Although, they don’t seem to mind.
Your photos are beautiful!
Thank you so much!
